This unadorned awl is simple and functional, consisting of a long, tapered needle with a wooden handle. The rounded tip can slip in between the leaves of even densely compressed tea bricks and cakes, allowing the user to prise off pieces for consumption or storage without causing too much breakage. Though not particularly decorative, the wooden handle is a handsome color, and the rounded shape allows a comfortable handhold while applying pressure. It’s definitely a key item in any Pu’er lover’s inventory.
